Why do I need this service?

“A safety data sheet is not a risk assessment.” (HSE)

And even more clearly:

“A good safety data sheet (SDS) does not substitute for carrying out and recording a COSHH risk assessment. Gathering SDSs is only the first stage in the assessment process.” (HSE)

BUT it is very common that I see:

📁 A folder full of AI-generated SDS files being sold to "cover COSHH."

❌ Well meaning, but misinformed, social comments advising other pro's to "get SDS/MSDS from suppliers and put these in a file."

❌ "I didn't learn that in my training,"

❌ or "I don't need to do that because...."

You're non-compliant, and not covered as there is no due diligence process or proof in place. Assuming that the “COSHH compliance is done" because you have a document folder. It isn’t, COSHH regulation and other linked Health and Safety laws require you to go further.

An SDS gives you information, SOME information, but it is doesn't prove assessment, which is the legal process all businesses using products or chemicals with precautions or hazards attached to them must follow.

This is where most salon, clinic, medispa and solo businesses fall down.
